Royal Oman Police, in association with the banks, has launched e-payment service to make e-payments at all Royal Oman Police (ROP) directorates. Any national or resident of Oman, holding bank card which is on Visa Electron platform can use it to pay for all the Royal Oman police services including Directorate General of Civil Status services.
For that cash payment will not be accepted at all. We hope from all nationals and Residents to provide these types of bank cards when they request any civil status services.

Directorate General of Civil Status working hours during Ramadhan Month
• Directorate General of Civil Status: Saturday to Wednesday from 8.30 am to 01.00 pm.
• Civil Status centers: Muscat + Sohar: Saturday to Wednesday from 08.00 am to 0.2.00 pm. (Receiving applications will be stopped at 01.30 pm).
• Other civil Status Center: Saturday to Wednesday from 08.30 am to 0.1.00 pm.

Royal Oman Police would like to mention that the electronic gates service will be available during an experimental period for Omani businessmen including proprietors, members of board of directors and managers of private sector firms. And their firms must be of the excellent class or above and registered at Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.The service is also available for Residents. There are some requirements on a person (Resident) to apply for the E-Gate service.
1- The validity of the Resident Card should be one year and above from the date of applying for the service.
2- The validity of his passport should be one year and above from the date of applying for the service.
3- This service this time is given only for Business people, and should be one of the following categories (General Manager, investor, member on board of director)

*Muscat:Saturday to Wednesday from 6 am to 12 Midnght.
*Sohar:Saturday to Wednesday from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm.
*Salalah:Saturday to Wednesday from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm.
Other Civil Status Centers in the regional areas: Saturday to Wednesday from 7.30 am to 2.00 pm. |
