Resident Card

 
A resident or an expatriate in the Sultanate has to have a Resident card. This includes those who are employed and those who are not. The Resident card draws its importance from the necessity to know accurately the number of foreigners residing in the Sultanate and the pertinent statistics. Required Documents to apply for a Resident Card:

 

• For Working Residents:

1. Clearance from the Ministry of Manpower for residents working in the private sector.

2. Filled in application form for the residents working in the public sector.

2. Passport.

3. One (1) photograph. 

 

For Non Working Residents (Family members)

1. Duly filled in application form.

2. Passport or parents passport if the applicant is still travelling on one of the parent's passport.

3.  Identification of blood group.

4. one (1) photograph .

5. Birth Certificate (if applicant is still travelling on one of the parent's passport).

 
For Residents  born in the Sultanate and are  fifteen (15) years of age:

1. Passport or parents passport if the applicant is still travelling on one of the parent's passport.

2. Birth certificate.

3. Identification of blood group.

4. one (1) photographs.

5. Complete in application form..
